Congressman Evans invites everyone to #WearOrange

America, we have a problem.

Our country is home to more guns than people. And yet there are some who think more guns — and making unrestricted access to guns even easier — is the solution to the growing epidemic of gun violence that has plagued our communities for far too long.

Firearms are the second leading cause of death for American children and teens

It’s an unacceptable reality that I’ve been working to fix in Congress.
We’ve been successful with the Bipartisan Background Check Act of 2019 and I’m working on a bill to help survivors of gun violence, but there’s so much more to address so families can be safe.

So this Gun Violence Awareness Day, I encourage you to wear orange and elevate our voices in demanding an end to gun violence — and less empty condolences, and more action.
