Thank you for working with me to win the Democratic nomination for the 2nd Congressional District. I am truly honored and humbled by the support and trust you have given me.
In the primary we stayed positive and focused on the issues facing Philadelphia and urban areas across America — and we’re going to continue with that approach in the general election.
I’ve spent a lot of time over the years thinking about what it takes to fix our political system and get things done to build stronger neighborhoods, block-by-block.
In this era of dysfunction in Washington, we need leadership that understands how to bring people together and we need people who are committed to staying involved.
We’re all interconnected.
Think about every network you’re a part of – whether it’s your mobile phone network, or an online social network, or an intranet or professional network at your workplace. For every additional person who joins, the value of the network increases.
Together, we can clean up our neighborhoods, protect them from crime and blight, work to turn around our schools, and lay the foundation for jobs, better wages, and a rising middle class.
I’m proud of this campaign, but we have more work to do to win the general election and get Congress to invest in urban areas all across America.
Thank you.
